The Bay Education Foundation sponsors a rotating Superintendent's Silver Shoe award which takes the average of the times of the top three runners from each school to decide which school is fastest. The award will be presented by the Superintendent with much hoopla at a school board meeting in June and will go home to live with the winning school until 2018. As we have in the past, the school with the most runners/walkers will have the award option of a classroom grant or employee tuition assistance scholarship in the 2017-18 school year. Award ribbons will be awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place 5K finishers in each age group and Best Overall Female/Male runners will be awarded. All Fun Run participants will receive an award.
Please note: Runners/walkers can choose which school with which to affiliate by listing a school on the entry form. Runners/walkers do not have to attend the school, be related to someone that attends the school, live the school's neighborhood, etc. Support the school of your choice! RINGERS WELCOME!
